3-Bolt Camshaft Retaining Plate Kit For LS Race Engines
COMP Cams® introduces new 3-Bolt Camshaft Retaining Plate Kit, which combines two critical pieces for racing applications into one easy package
The new retaining plate kit for LS applications includes the COMP Cams®-exclusive Ampco camshaft retaining plate and 3-bolt cam bolt locking plate. The camshaft retaining plate offers major friction improvement over stock cast iron plates. Created out of a high-strength aluminum bronze alloy, the plate is CNC-machined and double-disc ground to precision tolerances. The retaining plate also features a CNC-machined o-ring seal for positive oil seal. This plate is a must have for racing, especially on LS applications retro-fit with a distributor that adds thrust to the camshaft.
The 3-bolt type cam bolt locking plate included in the kit is the perfect insurance for high performance and race applications. For optimum protection, COMP® engineers designed the plate to be similar to standard designs found on muscle car engines. The locking plate ensures that all three camshaft bolts stay perfectly torqued and in place at all times. Easy-to-install, the kit includes three new camshaft bolts with proper hex heads to ensure a snug fit with the locking plate. Both items can be purchased separately; however, this master kit offers buyers a convenient solution with a 5% discount.
